This May, To the State of the Good Life will be featured at the Welcoming Interactive in Detroit, where we’ll join changemakers from across the country working to build more inclusive communities. As part of the event, we’ll be sharing the film and previewing elements of our soon-to-launch engagement toolkit—a resource designed to help cities, nonprofits, and educators spark conversation and action around the immigrant experience across America. The film and program were tested in Spokane, Omaha, and in Connecticut before it was brought to Welcoming America, the national organization hosting the Detroit event.
We’re also exploring partnerships to bring the film to additional communities, festivals, and civic spaces in 2025. For clients across sectors—from foundations to municipalities—this work shows how storytelling, when grounded in lived experience and paired with the right tools, can deepen understanding, shift narratives, and mobilize support. Whether you’re advancing equity, building belonging, or shaping public policy, The State of the Good Life is a model for using film as a force for change.
